sorry mum

Sorry mum plays with concepts of agency and identity through a group participatory event, utilising Yoko ono’s Cut Piece (1965). In performance the audience is offered the choice to change the artists body. The way in which said body is positioned in the space asks complex questions of control, exchange and culture. An exercise in self reflection, Sorry mum asks participants to recognise their impact on another’s search for identity.
